Tragedy at Fort Hood, and a Theory
-
Update: Joe Sestak NOT Jeff Sestak sorry for the error
To the Families of the Wounded and the Deceased at Fort Hood, My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you in this worrisome and grief-stricken time. It is with utter shock, and horror that I received the news of the shooting, and the resulting casualties. I can not say enough that I am praying for you in this time of need.
To the Media: Look deeper into this. I am a veteran of over a decade of service to the United States Army, and I have never heard of a Field Grade Officer (Major or higher) going so far off the deep end that he would open fire into a barracks, a theater and a processing center. All of the Officers I know, would consider behavior like this so far below their station, as to be laughable. I have seen Officers do stupid and juvenile things --a month or so ago, I heard a story of a Captain who tried to jump onto a moving cargo train while drunk and lost both of his legs-- but this is absolutely outrageous.
Mark my words, the news will come out with one of several alternatives:
1) Major Malik Nadal Hasan
and his cohorts areis (despite protestations to the contrary) a terrorists. They obtained a passable set of Identification Cards, military uniforms, and ID tags (commonly known as, "Dog Tags"); whereby they near flawlessly executed a terrorist attack. Right now, my money is on this outcome.Turns out he was likely a "Lone Wolf".2) Malik Nadal Hasan and his cohorts are not Field Grade Officers, but instead are disgruntled junior enlisted service members. They acquired what they needed at the exchange store or surplus store. This is a far more logical outcome given my experiences.3) This is not a tragedy, but a set up. The people in power will use this as an excuse to pass legislation restricting gun ownership for combat veterans, and will attempt to restrict firearms further. This is an effective way to disarm the Oath Keepers by using this "crisis". This theory is by far the scariest, however, the things I once thought to be nothing more than conspiracy theories a year ago, have in fact turned out to be true. As a result, I will not discount this theory.4)
I am wrong, these Officershe actually flipped out, and started a rampage.I do not think that this is the case, because,as I said before, this tragedy is not the conduct of Commissioned Officers. This is way too feral. We combat troops are violent men, but we vehemently disdain the idea of murdering our fellow Citizens and Brothers-in-arms. Apparently, he is the exception.I only say all of this, because as I see it, the pieces don't fit. I pray that this is not a set up, however, something seemed a bit disingenuous about the speeches given in response to this horrendous event. I hope the final conclusion of this tragedy is theory number two, because if it is not, the ramifications for our nation and the military are far reaching indeed.
Please, do not accept this story at face value, the holes in this thing are big.
UPDATE: The pieces are beginning to fit, but I am not convinced that this was not a setup. The timing is too perfect, and Major Hasan is, in fact, alive. Thankfully, the Military still uses the death penalty. More to follow as we get the information.
Again, my thoughts and prayers are with the survivors of this... event. God bless you, and God keep you.
The strangest video. I think I am beginning to see ulterior motives everywhere, but watch this and decide if it doesn't seem rehearsed in parts. His face was telling a different story except the pain. Sorry, about the lack of video feed.
