Nov. 23, 2009Memory Scrub
(Read More...)That Maj. Hasan tried to get a military discharge before the massacre is largely being erased -- we're supposed to keep focusing on the Muslim part. What happened to all the initial reports that accused Fort Hood killer Maj. Nidal Hasan snapped because he was distraught over the Army's refusal to grant him either a discharge or an exemption from being deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, wars which the Muslim psychiatrist abhorred -- and how it was this callous Army refusal to accommodate Maj. Hasan that led to his downward spiral into despondency, rage and mass murder?
We heard quite a bit about this in the first couple of days, and then -- poof! That part of the Fort Hood story disappeared so neatly that I almost started to wonder if I'd imagined it -- such is the power of media bombardment versus a mere soap bubble like the human ...

Nov. 23, 2009Threatening Note found at Fort Benning
(Read More...)A suspicious package was found outside a motor pool Thursday morning at Fort Benning with an anonymous note threatening an attack similar to the one at Fort Hood, Texas, the Army Times reported Saturday.
Fox News reports that the package contained 20 hollow point bullets and a note that said "Call of all charges or you will see a repeat of the the Fort Hood events."
I may be mistaken, but don't you need to have a pass to get on Fort Benning. Doesn't that mean the person who left this note is either Active Duty or has access to getting on the base? How many more terrorist do we have behind our lines?
Here is the Army Times article

(Read More...)CAIR boasts of influence on media after Fort Hood
Group treated as voice of Muslims despite fresh evidence of terror ties
The Fox News Channel's Martha MacCallum with CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad
Despite recent reports of new evidence of its ties to terrorism, the Council on American-Islamic Relations is boasting of its success in the wake of the Fort Hood massacre as a spokesman in numerous major media outlets for a religious community "shocked" by the attack and incensed that anyone would associate them with it.
In a fundraising letter, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad told potential donors that within hours of the attack by a Muslim Army major, the Washington, D.C.-based group issued a statement of condemnation to thousands of local, national and international media outlets.
"Perhaps you saw CAIR spokespeople interviewed on MSNBC's Hardball or on PBS's NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, CNN, MSNBC, ...

Nov. 15, 2009Obama urges
(Read More...)President Barack Obama on Saturday urged Congress to hold off on any investigation of the Fort Hood rampage until federal law enforcement and military authorities have completed their probes into the shootings at the Texas Army post, which left 13 people dead.
On an eight-day Asia trip, Obama turned his attention home and pleaded for lawmakers to "resist the temptation to turn this tragic event into the political theater." He said those who died on the nation's largest Army post deserve justice, not political stagecraft.
"The stakes are far too high," Obama said in a video and Internet address released by the White House while the president he was flying from Tokyo to Singapore, where Pacific Rim countries were meeting.
Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, 39, was charged on Thursday with the shooting spree at Fort Hood last week. Army investigators have said Hasan is the ...

Nov. 6, 2009Questions that will Prove Corruption
(Read More...)At the risk of sounding (yet again) like a conspiracy theorist, I can't help but raise questions about some of the facts that don't seem to fit, but seem innocuous enough. It seems though, that it may be Divine Providence that the Fort Hood and Orlando shootings are now overshadowing the discussions about Health Care Reform and "Cap and Tax" that are tearing Congressional Democrats to pieces this week.
Like the President at the conference last night, I too find myself compelled to stay on topic tonight by asking a few nasty little questions about the media and the government, and their handling of the news of the last 48 hours.

Nov. 5, 2009Tragedy at Fort Hood, and a Theory
(Read More...)Our thoughts and prayers go out to the survivors of this heinous tragedy. We are stunned by this turn of events, and are watching carefully as this story unfolds.
I, however, can not say that I am comfortable with the timing of this event. It seems too coincidental, and the named gunman (one of three suspects), Malik Nadal Hasan, is reported as being a Major in the US Army. This will be the first time that I have heard of a Field Grade Officer doing something this far beneath his station.
That this is happening the day before a tremendous vote is being made ready by the House and Senate on Health Care Reform and Climate Change, respectively, seems too coincidental. I believe that more may be afoot.
